Newly appointed Women's Tennis Association (WTA) president Valerie Camillo is familiar with long hours in her previous roles - such as her time as a board member for a tourism firm managing American country music superstar Dolly Parton's entertainment venues.

Beyond the expertise into Parton's business interests, Camillo steps into the leadership of women's tennis bringing extensive background across sport and entertainment, previously occupying senior leadership posts at the National Basketball Association (NBA), National Hockey League (NHL) and America's pastime.

Camillo commences her leadership position at the WTA this November, succeeding the long-serving Steve Simon, who led for a decade concludes as he steps down.
